religion is the topic- while i will not dive deep into my specific ideas I will say I am a confirmed Roman Catholic that does not follow the church anymore. I was never that keen on having young children seeing a man hung from a cross, bleeding ect. in ever corner they turned. And in more recent times I have learned to understand that anyone who chooses the "life of the lord" is still jsut a regular human with the same everyday functions. Just becasue they have more dicipline doesn't mean they are in line in front of the rest of us for heaven. I do however pray to those saints- ie- Christopher and Anthony who help us get things done in my eye and hold on strongly to my connection to my chosen patron saint- Raphael the archangel who I've discussed before.I guess it's not so much as they actually help us but give us focus and hope into what's happening that we might feel the need to call on them.

To give you and idea of what my ideas are and more insight to this quandry

see Stigmata and Dogma..

so understanding that bit- I'd like to bring up the topic of prayer - I'd like to ask a simple question - While I personally do not feel any strong connection to or urge to support most of the Roman Catholic church, Why do I still have a great urge, everytime I think nessesary, to have my mother add the name to the prayer intentions list at her work, and send e-mails asking everyone else I know to pray for the casue? If I am beliving that it can only really guide us and that the only hope that might give is to the preson who also belives and sees that they are supported- do I really think that hundreds of people who don't even know, praying for my casue becasue I asked them too, are really going to help?

I am sorry if this confused anyone, more than myself. This was more of an open question to myself why I might only use a religion to help but not really back it up. I guess that's the way things work - I will elaborate(or try) in the morning.
