24.08.03 - 6:34 p.m. tri-lingual... What do you call a person who speaks 2 languges? Bi-lingual.. What do you call a person who speaks 1 language? = AMERICAN! God hates catholic schools- or maybe just me..- so I have to go up to intermidate in any language for college this requires you either take a test and pass into a level, out completly or start a new languge. In high school I got screwed out of it becasue I knew I needed 2 language credits just didn't know it had to be the same language so I took 2 years of french for one credit and 1 year of German for one credit and ended up having to take another year of German becasue there was no way I remembered any French- and to be honest I don't know how I made it through French at all becasue I didn't learn what conjugating was untill I got into German. SO becasue I was so mad about being forced into another year of German I chose to just take Italian. So I got through one year no real problem - this means I have 6 college credits and only one more semester. At NDM they only have one teacher who teaches the Italian class and basically first smester it is only level one and three while second semster is only level two. so I have to take it now- or wait a whole year. I was really mad becasue there are only 5 people in the class including me and 3 are seniors - we have to build our schedual around them because they need this. so I planned my entire school and work all around them and when they could take this class. 3 days before school starts, they changed the time. What Kind of BS is this!!? This is also after my philosophy class was cancelled dropping me to only 3 classes that I was register for and 1 wait list. who the hell is doing this? so yes while I probably should be nice and happy about being a sophmore in college I am really just pissed and loaded with anxiety about being so alone.
